T-Online Driver for windows 2000 English

Hello Technical Helpers,

I apologize for writing in English, but I cannot explain the problem well enough in German. The problem deals with installing T-Online Software 4.0 which I was told is compatible with my English system. With the installation assistant, I indicate TDSL access, then I install the driver. The next screen indicates the driver has been installed. Then, the new screen indicates that I must install the driver. So, I install the driver, and a screen indicates that the driver has been installed. Then, again, the new screen indicates that I must install the driver. I can install the driver an endless number of times and still get the screen indicating the driver must be installed.

Thank you for any advice that you have and feel free to respond in German if you wish. The technical information about my system follows.

Why would you install T-Online Software?

You can connect to internet by calling a DFÜ-Connection.

How do I get a DFÜ connection? I do not know what this is.

I don't now who it's in the W2K version bit i think you can furnish it at the network connections(i'm not sure)...

Who do you connected to the internet? directly to the DSL-Modem or over Router?

1st here is the "T-Online Software 5.0"

currently here is the last T-DSL Setup 1.412

The TDSLSetup generate a log in c:\TDSLCheck.txt
and after 1st install it need a reboot for the driver
you can find (uninstal) it in the Device Manager - Network Adapter

Hi,

if you only want to set up a T-DSL connection, there's no need to install the T-online software.

Download the "Schlabbach PPPOE" driver in the downloadsection of this page. Then go to "Install -> Protocol" in your NICs networksettings. Point to the unpacked PPPOE drivers directory, it'll choose the right *inf file automatically.
After that you just have to start the *exe file in the PPPOE folder to create a connection for TDSL. It works like a dial up connection.
