Keine Ahnung, wo ich diesen Thread hinpacken soll, aber da es ja mit dem zukünftigen Scripting zu tun hat habe ich dieses Forum gewählt.

Ich habe die beta1 von Vista wieder deinstalliert. Was ich bei meinem Test gar nicht überprüft habe (und ich habe keine Lust dafür wieder die beta1 zu installieren):

Weiß jemand ob der "Microsoft Command-Line Shell Interpreter" in der beta2 implementiert sein wird?

Ist damit "Monad" gemeint ?

Microsoft is set to talk more about Monad, its Windows scripting technology, at the Professional Developers Conference in Los Angeles this week. Simultaneously, Microsoft has posted for download Beta 2 of the Monad shell that works with the .Net Framework 2.0 Beta 2 for x86 release. At least so far, we have not heard that Microsoft has reversed itself by putting Monad back into Vista, however

Monad isn't completely off the Microsoft radar screen, however. Company officials at Tech Ed confirmed that Microsoft is planning to include Monad in Exchange 12 (E12), the next version of Microsoft's Exchange product due out next year. Microsoft officials had been hinting since December that Monad would debut in E12, but made no claims about Longhorn.

Pawlak said he was aware that Microsoft was planning to add Monad support to E12, but that he also expected it to be part of future Windows releases, as well as other forthcoming Microsoft products.

"Exchange 12's admin user interface (and that of Microsoft Operations Manager v3 and Systems Management Server v4) will be built 'on top of' Monad," Pawlak elaborated. "In this way, everything that an admin can do through the user interface can also be scripted or done via a command line."

Jup Monad ist das Stichwort...
Naja .. Gedulden werde ich mich sowieso müssen (Watt für ein bekloppter Satz ). Meine irgendwo gelesen zu haben, dass wohl auch irgendwo eine Beta zu finden ist.

Hier gibts die Monad Beta 2. Allerdings ist hierfür auch das .NET-Framework 2 (Beta2) erforderlich.

Oha .. viele betas
Definitv ein Fall für eine virtuelle Maschine. Mal schauen, was ich aus der beta rausholen kann.

Nachdem, was ich über Monad gelesen habe wird das neue Scripten geradezu ein Kinderspiel. Viele Befehle sind einfach nur klasse. Viel von Unix kopiert, aber lieber gut kopiert als schlecht selbst gemacht
