Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 Tools for the 2007 Microsoft Office System (auch als "Visual Studio 2005 Tools for Office Second Edition" oder "VSTO 2005 SE" bezeichnet) ist ein Add-On für Microsoft Visual Studio 2005, das das Erstellen von Add-Ins auf Anwendungsebene für Anwendungen in 2007 Microsoft Office System und Microsoft Office 2003 System ermöglicht.

VSTO 2005 SE bietet Unterstützung für Microsoft Office InfoPath 2007-Formularvorlagenprojekte, die zuvor als separates Produkt (Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Toolkit for Visual Studio 2005) verfügbar war. Sie können Projektmappen aus InfoPath 2007-Formularen jetzt direkt in der Visual Studio 2005-Umgebung erstellen, sofern InfoPath 2007 auf dem Computer installiert ist.

  • Unterstützung für verwalteten Code für InfoPath 2007-Formulare.
  • Add-In-Projekte auf Anwendungsebene für fünf Anwendungen in Microsoft Office 2003-Anwendungen (Professional Edition und Standard Edition): Microsoft Office Excel 2003, Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2003, Microsoft Office Visio 2003 und Microsoft Office Word 2003.
