Installation von Windows 2000

Ok, there you go.

The problem is, i am running win me, and one of my german friends are telling me that i should install a dualboot system. And then i got an english copy from my brother. Starting installation of win2k, and then, when the computer restarts, i get a bluescreen. It says: Inaccesible boot device. And this is driving me nuts.

Can anyone tell me how to install a dualboot system with me and win2k?

At what time the bluescreen appears? Is the win2k-Install completed or is this just the restart before the setup (in "DOS-Mode") begins?

Do you use the onboard-Promise-Contoller or just the built-in VIA? Try to use just the built-in-VIA-Controller.

Do you try to install win2k on the same HDD/partition with winME?

maybe some other people have some more ideas!

Well, i got the bluescreen when the system restarts after the starting in me. It loads all this drivers. And then at the bottom-line it says 'starting windows', and then, after like 1 minute I get a bluescreen. I am really confused about that. I called my brother and he didn't know about that since he only has win2k on his computer.
Hope someone can help.

i didnt find it yet but i know there EXISTS an article describing your problem.

Ich will nicht testen ob ihr english konnen. Ich komme aus norwegen, und spreche dann am liebste english. Kapische??

On wich partision should I install 200. I've got 2 HDD's.
Maybe I should start the computer with a bootdisk and select start computer with cd-rom suport, and then start the installation from there... Or not??
